Woman Wins Lottery of Rs 10 Lakh Per Month For 30 Years

Doris Stanbridge is a 70-year-old woman from Dorking, England. She has won a lottery that will pay her 10,000 pounds (approximately Rs 10.37 lakh) every month for the next 30 years. Mrs Stanbridge spotted money spiders in her home. Money spiders are a species of spiders believed to bring good fortune. Hence on her 70th birthday, she decided to buy a lottery ticket. She purchased a Set For Life ticket via the National Lottery app. Over the weekend, Mrs Stanbridge received an email from the National Lottery. Initially, she thought she had won a small prize of 10 pounds. However, the email revealed that she had won a staggering 10,000 pounds a month for 30 years. In disbelief, she sought a second opinion from her son-in-law before finally accepting her incredible luck. The official confirmation from the National Lottery arrived the next morning, confirming her status as a lottery winner. She said, "It still seems a bit strange when I think about the win and that I will get that money every month for 30 years. It gives me a reason to be around until I am 100!" Since the win, Mrs Stanbridge and her husband Keith have indulged in some well-deserved treats, including a new bed and an air fryer. They also enjoyed a holiday in Cornwall with their family. The couple plans to renovate their 50-year-old house and are looking forward to treating their family to a holiday abroad. She said excitedly, "It will be my grandson's first trip on an airplane.”
