Making Mutual Fund Learning Accessible for the Deaf | HDFC Mutual Fund

HDFC Mutual Fund has launched Bharosa, a financial learning platform that provides mutual fund information in Indian Sign Language for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

Every parent wants to give their child the best education, opportunities and freedom to follow their dreams. Planning for the future often includes making important financial decisions, but access to clear and trusted financial information can be difficult for many Deaf people.

During the International Day of Sign Languages, HDFC Mutual Fund launched Bharosa, a digital financial learning platform designed for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. The platform provides information about mutual funds in Indian Sign Language (ISL).

Bharosa allows users to choose financial goals, such as planning for a child’s education or retirement, and learn through curated ISL videos. Users can also schedule one-on-one sessions with coaches from the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

HDFC Mutual Fund said the platform is part of its investor education and awareness initiative and aims to make financial learning more accessible, so that Deaf people can learn, explore and make informed financial choices. The platform was developed with Indian Sign Language content, with ISH contributing to the ISL interpretation.

Learn, explore, and make informed financial choices.
